Questions
About the money.
Is the price really flat?
Yes, for the job in the photo you send me. I quote from the photo, and that number is what you pay. If the photo doesn't show something that changes the work — a plaster wall where I expected drywall, a box that isn't fan-rated — I'll tell you the revised number before I start, and you're free to say no.
What's not included?
The equipment. You buy the mount, the doorbell, the fan, the disposal; I install it. That keeps this price flat, means you own the parts, and means you're not paying a markup on something you can have delivered tomorrow.
Do you charge a trip fee or a minimum?
No trip fee. The price on this page is the whole thing, including getting there and taking the packaging away with me.
Why is there a ceiling on what you'll take on?
Because of how I'm allowed to work. Under California's AB 2622 handyperson exemption, an unlicensed operator can only take jobs where the total cost — labour, materials, everything — comes to less than $1,000, where no permit is needed, and where I do the work myself. That's why the biggest thing on this page is $449 and why I'll refer you out for anything larger.
Can I get a discount for several jobs?
That's exactly what the bundles are. Most of what a single install costs is the drive, and that only has to be paid for once. If your combination isn't listed, text me what you need and I'll price it.
