Installs in Poway
Poway is where I do the most ceiling work in the county, and it's a straightforward reason: the housing stock is full of 1980s plans with vaulted great rooms and two-story entries. Height is the variable, so tell me about it up front.

What I plan for here
Poway walls, ceilings and doors
Most of Poway went up between the mid-1970s and the mid-1990s. Drywall over conventional framing, well built, and easy to mount into. The characteristic feature is ceiling height — vaulted living rooms, two-story entries, and open plans with a fan hung well above standard reach. A vaulted ceiling also needs a fan-rated box with a sloped-ceiling adapter, and not every existing box has one.
East Poway and the High Valley area run rural, with larger lots, detached structures, and long distances between the house and the gate. That changes camera and WiFi planning completely — a mesh node in the house does nothing for a camera at the end of a 300-foot driveway, and I'd rather tell you that before you buy three of them.
Getting to you
Lots here are large and often gated, and several roads in the north and east of the city are unsigned. Send an address plus a landmark or a gate code and I'll find it the first time.

How it works
Three steps, and none of them is a form.
Text a photo
Send a picture of the wall, the door, the spot under the sink — whatever it is. A photo answers more questions than a phone call.
Get a flat price
One number for the whole job, back the same day. Not a range, not an hourly rate, not an estimate that grows.
Pick a time
A real arrival time, not a four-hour window. Usually this week. You pay when it's done.
Questions
Booking in Poway
How does the price work?
Text me a photo of the spot and I'll text back a flat price for the whole job. That number doesn't move unless the job turns out to be something other than what's in the photo — and if it does, I'll tell you before I start, not after.
When do I pay?
When it's done and you've looked at it. No deposit, no card on file, no payment up front.
How soon can you come out?
Usually this week, often the next day. You'll get a real arrival time — an actual hour, not a four-hour window.
Do you supply the equipment?
No. You buy the TV mount, the doorbell, the fan — whatever it is — and I install it. That keeps my price flat, means you own the parts, and means you're not paying a markup on something you can get delivered tomorrow. If you're unsure what to buy, text me and I'll tell you what fits.
Is it really just one person?
Yes. The person who quotes the job is the person who shows up and does it. You won't get a dispatcher, a rotating crew, or somebody who's never seen the photo you sent.
What can't you do?
Anything that needs a building permit — new circuits, new outlets, panel work, repiping, water heater or HVAC changeouts, gas lines, structural changes. Also anything where the total cost of the job would run to $1,000 or more. Those need a licensed contractor, and I'd rather refer you to one than take on something I shouldn't.
Installation services in Poway
Poway is inland, and that changes what is worth installing. Summer afternoons here run well above the coast, so unlike the beach communities this is genuinely air conditioning country — which is where a smart thermostat actually pays for itself rather than saving a percentage of very little. Ceiling fans do real work here too, in rooms that stay warm long after sunset.
The housing is mostly 1970s through 1990s on larger lots, drywall over conventional framing, which makes for predictable install work. The lots themselves are the variable: long driveways and detached structures mean camera placement and WiFi coverage often need to reach further from the house than they do in denser parts of the county. Say what you want covered and I will tell you honestly whether one access point will do it.
