Multi-Room & Surround Audio Setup
Multi-room audio lives or dies on the network. I get every speaker onto the same network properly, grouped in a way that matches how you actually move through the house, and in sync so the kitchen isn't half a beat behind the patio.
No deposit. Pay when it's done. Or call John on (619) 928-6500.
What's included
- Network checked first — multi-room audio drops out when WiFi is weak, and that gets found before speakers go in
- Each speaker placed, powered, and added to the system
- Rooms and groups named for how you use the house, not how the app defaults them
- Streaming services linked — Spotify, Apple Music, whatever you pay for
- Sync tested across rooms with something with a strong beat
- Surround pairing set up if you're using two of them behind a TV
- App walked through with everyone who'll use it
What I'll need from you
- The speakers, and the account logins for your streaming services
- Outlets in each room where a speaker is going
- WiFi that reaches every one of those rooms — if it doesn't, say so and we'll fix that first
- How long it takes
- Two to three hours for three or four rooms.

John
Everyone says the box has been there a week. It's been a month.
My speakers keep dropping off the app.
That's a WiFi problem nine times out of ten, not a speaker problem. I check signal in each room as part of this job, and if the answer is that you need better coverage I'll tell you rather than sell you more speakers.
Can you add speakers to a system I already have?
Yes, and it's usually quicker. Text me what you already own and how many you're adding.

Adding a second job to the same trip is the cheapest way to buy my time — the drive only gets paid for once.

Multi-room and surround audio installation in San Diego
Multi-room audio in San Diego almost always ends up including the outside. The indoor-outdoor life here is not a marketing phrase — patios, decks and courtyards in Encinitas, Del Mar and the older beach communities get used most of the year, and a system that stops at the back door is a system people stop using. Getting the patio into the same groups as the kitchen is usually the difference between a setup that gets played daily and one that gets played at parties.
These systems live or die on the network, not the speakers. Sonos and its equivalents drop out when WiFi is marginal, and marginal is the default in a stucco house with the router in a front closet. I measure signal in every room a speaker is going into before anything gets unboxed, because the honest answer is sometimes that you need better coverage rather than another speaker. Then I group rooms the way you move through the house and test sync with something with a real beat.
Send a photo of the spot. I'll confirm $199.
If the photo shows something that changes the price, you'll know before I drive out — not after.
