If you already have an alarm panel, adding sensors to it is a straightforward job. I mount and enrol door, window, motion and glass-break sensors on your existing panel, name the zones so an alert tells you something useful, and test every one.

Can you install a whole new alarm system?
No. A new system and a monitoring agreement are a different business with its own licensing, and I don't take that on. I can hand you to a partner who does — that's a referral, and they'd contract with you directly.
Will this change my monitoring?
No. Your existing agreement and whoever holds it are untouched. The new sensors report through the panel you already have.
What if I don't know my panel's code?
Then this can't go ahead, and it's worth finding out before booking. Your monitoring provider can usually reset it for you.

Plenty of San Diego homes have an alarm panel that was installed by a previous owner, covers the front and back doors and nothing else, and has not been touched since. Adding sensors to a panel that already works is a straightforward afternoon and gets you the coverage the original install skipped — the side gate, the garage door into the house, the sliding door onto the patio that is the actual weak point in most single-storey homes here.
This is an add-on to an existing panel, not a new system and not a new monitoring agreement — those are a different regulated business and I do not take them on. Zones get named for the actual door or window rather than left as a number, which is the difference between an alert that tells you something and one that just makes noise.
