Straight answers.

Including the ones that aren't flattering. If something here isn't covered, text me — I'd rather answer it before you book than after.

General

How this works.

How does the price work?

Text me a photo of the spot and I'll text back a flat price for the whole job. That number doesn't move unless the job turns out to be something other than what's in the photo — and if it does, I'll tell you before I start, not after.

When do I pay?

When it's done and you've looked at it. No deposit, no card on file, no payment up front.

How soon can you come out?

Usually this week, often the next day. You'll get a real arrival time — an actual hour, not a four-hour window.

Do you supply the equipment?

No. You buy the TV mount, the doorbell, the fan — whatever it is — and I install it. That keeps my price flat, means you own the parts, and means you're not paying a markup on something you can get delivered tomorrow. If you're unsure what to buy, text me and I'll tell you what fits.

Is it really just one person?

Yes. The person who quotes the job is the person who shows up and does it. You won't get a dispatcher, a rotating crew, or somebody who's never seen the photo you sent.

What can't you do?

Anything that needs a building permit — new circuits, new outlets, panel work, repiping, water heater or HVAC changeouts, gas lines, structural changes. Also anything where the total cost of the job would run to $1,000 or more. Those need a licensed contractor, and I'd rather refer you to one than take on something I shouldn't.

Why is there a disclosure at the bottom of every page?

Because California law is specific about it, and because you should know exactly what you're hiring. I'm an unlicensed handyman working alone under the AB 2622 exemption. That's the honest description, so it's on every page rather than buried in a terms link.

Which areas do you cover?

San Diego County — the city itself plus La Jolla, Chula Vista, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Poway, La Mesa, El Cajon, Oceanside, and Escondido. North County days get batched, so if you're in Carlsbad or Oceanside there are fewer slots but a real arrival time when you get one.

Do you haul away the old one and the packaging?

Yes, that's included. The box goes with me.

What if something goes wrong after you leave?

Text me. If it's something I did, I'll come back and fix it. Working alone means there's nobody to hand that off to, which is the point.

Send a photo. Get a number back today.

One text is enough to start. If it's something I don't do, I'll tell you that too.
