Not everything has a name in a price list. This is the visit for the accumulated small jobs — the thing that squeaks, the thing that won't stay shut, the bulb in the fixture nobody can reach. Text me the list and I'll tell you what fits in one visit.

What's included
- A run through your list at the start so we agree the order and what fits
- Light fixture and bulb changes, including the high ones you need a ladder for
- Small repairs — sticking doors, loose handles, cabinet hinges, drawer runners
- Tightening, adjusting and re-securing things that have worked loose
- Weatherstripping, door sweeps and stops fitted
- Anything I can't or shouldn't do named on the spot, with who to call instead
- Cleanup, and the packaging taken away
What I'll need from you
- The list — text it ahead so I bring the right things
- Any parts or fixtures you've already bought
- Access to whatever needs doing, including the garage if that's where the ladder lives
- How long it takes
- Priced by the visit. Most lists take one to two hours.

Is it worth calling you out just to change a light bulb?
If it's a fifteen-foot ceiling or a fixture that needs taking apart, yes — that's exactly what the minimum visit charge covers. And you may as well hand me the rest of the list while I'm on the ladder.
What won't you take on?
Anything needing a permit, anything structural, and anything electrical beyond swapping a fixture onto an existing connection. New circuits, panel work, repiping and gas are all jobs for a licensed trade, and I'll tell you that rather than have a go.

Handyman work around San Diego, by the visit
Not everything has a name in a price list. This is the visit for the accumulated small jobs — the bulb in the two-storey entry nobody can reach, the bathroom door that has not closed properly since the last hot spell, the shelf that needs re-securing, the weatherstripping that gave up. Around San Diego these pile up quietly for a year and then get done in one afternoon, and that is a far better use of a trip than calling somebody out for each one.
There is a $79 minimum on a visit, which is honest rather than apologetic: driving to La Mesa to change two bulbs costs the same hour as driving there to hang a picture. So bring the list. What I will not take on is anything needing a permit, anything structural, and any electrical work beyond swapping a fixture onto an existing connection — new circuits, panel work, repiping and gas all belong to a licensed trade, and I will say so and point you at the right one.
