Can you move everything from my old computer?
Files, photos, bookmarks, and email, yes. Installed applications generally have to be reinstalled rather than moved — I'll get the common ones back on for you.
What if my old computer won't turn on?
Often the drive is still fine and the data is recoverable. That's a different job than a setup, so tell me what's happening and I'll say honestly whether it's worth trying.
Do you do repairs?
Setup, transfer, and getting things working — yes. Component-level repair, no.

Computer setup in San Diego usually means one of two calls. Either a new machine arrived and everything from the old one needs to come across intact, or somebody has retired, downsized into a condo in Mission Valley or Oceanside, and wants the whole desk working again in a room that has no Ethernet and questionable WiFi. Both are more about patience than technical difficulty, and both go badly when they are rushed.
I do the transfer sitting with you rather than taking the machine away, because the parts that fail are the parts that need you — two-factor codes, an Apple ID nobody has typed since 2019, a bank app that wants to verify a phone number. You keep custody of your own data the whole time, and nothing is wiped off the old device until you have opened files on the new one and confirmed they are really there.
