Installs in Oceanside
Oceanside is two things at once: an older beach town on the west side and newer inland tract on the east. It also has more renters than anywhere else I serve, thanks to Camp Pendleton, and that changes what a good install looks like.
- Drive time
- 45–50 minutes
- Prices
- Identical to everywhere else I work — from $79. Distance doesn't change the number.
What I plan for here
Oceanside walls, ceilings and doors
West of the 5, especially South Oceanside and Fire Mountain, is 1920s through 1950s — small cottages, plaster walls, and salt air. The plaster wants patience and the salt air wants stainless hardware on anything exterior. Downtown has newer condo construction mixed in among it.
Rancho del Oro, Ocean Hills, and most of 92057 are post-1985 conventional construction and mount easily. A large share of these homes are rentals connected to Camp Pendleton, and for renters I'll do the install with the least invasive fastener that will actually hold — and tell you plainly what the wall will look like when you take it down. A battery doorbell and a no-drill camera mount is often the right answer for a two-year posting, and I'd rather say that than sell you a permanent install you'll have to patch.
Getting to you
It's the longest drive on my list, so I batch Oceanside with Carlsbad and Encinitas and run North County as a day. That means fewer available slots but a real arrival time when you get one. Coast Highway is slow in summer; I schedule around it.

How it works
Three steps, and none of them is a form.
Text a photo
Send a picture of the wall, the door, the spot under the sink — whatever it is. A photo answers more questions than a phone call.
Get a flat price
One number for the whole job, back the same day. Not a range, not an hourly rate, not an estimate that grows.
Pick a time
A real arrival time, not a four-hour window. Usually this week. You pay when it's done.
Questions
Booking in Oceanside
How does the price work?
Text me a photo of the spot and I'll text back a flat price for the whole job. That number doesn't move unless the job turns out to be something other than what's in the photo — and if it does, I'll tell you before I start, not after.
When do I pay?
When it's done and you've looked at it. No deposit, no card on file, no payment up front.
How soon can you come out?
Usually this week, often the next day. You'll get a real arrival time — an actual hour, not a four-hour window.
Do you supply the equipment?
No. You buy the TV mount, the doorbell, the fan — whatever it is — and I install it. That keeps my price flat, means you own the parts, and means you're not paying a markup on something you can get delivered tomorrow. If you're unsure what to buy, text me and I'll tell you what fits.
Is it really just one person?
Yes. The person who quotes the job is the person who shows up and does it. You won't get a dispatcher, a rotating crew, or somebody who's never seen the photo you sent.
What can't you do?
Anything that needs a building permit — new circuits, new outlets, panel work, repiping, water heater or HVAC changeouts, gas lines, structural changes. Also anything where the total cost of the job would run to $1,000 or more. Those need a licensed contractor, and I'd rather refer you to one than take on something I shouldn't.
Installation services in Oceanside
Oceanside has more turnover than anywhere else I work, because of Camp Pendleton. That means a steady stream of installs that need to happen fast around a move-in, and a steady stream of dismounts that need doing cleanly before a move-out inspection. If you are on a PCS timeline, say so when you text — I will tell you honestly whether I can hit your date rather than booking you and hoping.
For rentals the dismount side matters more than people expect: four holes and a bracket left in a wall is a deduction, and filling and sanding them flush costs a fraction of what gets withheld. The housing itself runs from older beach bungalows near the pier to large newer developments inland toward the 76, so the wall behind your TV could be anything — a photo settles it.
