What's different about Security Camera here
Anywhere west of the 5 — South Oceanside, Fire Mountain, downtown — is close enough to the ocean that stainless hardware and a sheltered eave position aren't optional if you want the mount to still be aimed correctly in three years. Those older cottages also often lack exterior outlets, so battery and solar are the practical formats, and solar does work well in this light.
East of the 5, Rancho del Oro and 92057 give you modern soffits, exterior outlets, and easy wired installs. Given how many of these homes are Camp Pendleton rentals, it's worth saying: for a fixed posting, a battery camera on a no-drill mount is often the right call. It comes with you, it leaves no holes, and you aren't asking a landlord for permission you may not get. I'll mount it properly and place it well either way — the format should suit how long you're staying, not how permanent it looks.
Before you book, from Oceanside
Tell me whether you own or rent, and whether you're west or east of the 5. West means salt air and stainless hardware and, if possible, a sheltered eave position. Renting means a no-drill mount and a battery unit are probably the right answer regardless of what the review sites say, because it comes with you and leaves the property as you found it. Check for exterior outlets either way, since the older cottages near the water frequently don't have any.
Getting to you
It's the longest drive on my list, so I batch Oceanside with Carlsbad and Encinitas and run North County as a day. That means fewer available slots but a real arrival time when you get one. Coast Highway is slow in summer; I schedule around it.

Is $149 for all my cameras or each one?
Each one. Two cameras is $298 — or $349 for the Perimeter Watch bundle, which adds a video doorbell. Multiple cameras in one visit is always cheaper per camera than having me out twice.
Can you run power to a spot with no outlet?
No. Adding a new exterior outlet or circuit needs a permit and a licensed electrician, and that's outside what I do. Battery and solar models solve this well, and I'll happily mount those anywhere.
Will the camera reach my WiFi out there?
That's the question worth asking before you buy. I check signal at the mounting spot as part of the job. If it's marginal, a mesh point usually fixes it — that's $149 and I can do both in one visit.

Oceanside cameras get asked for around deployments more than around break-ins, and that is a different requirement. Somebody wanting to check on a house while they are away for months needs reliability and remote access far more than they need resolution — a camera that drops off the network in week three is useless regardless of how sharp it is. Wired power, a reserved address and notifications tested before I leave matter more here than the specification of the unit. Tell me how long you expect to be away and I will set the notification thresholds so your phone is not buzzing at every passing car.
