Smart Lock in Poway
Poway doors are conventional and easy. What's distinctive is how many people here want the lock to solve a gate problem too.

Poway specifics
What's different about Smart Lock here
The 1980s and 1990s stock has standard doors with standard bores, and a smart lock goes on cleanly. Signal at the front door is generally fine on single-storey plans, and on the larger two-storey layouts I check it before finishing rather than assuming.
The recurring Poway conversation is about access rather than the door itself. On large lots with gates, side yards and detached garages, people reasonably want one system that handles all of it — and a smart deadbolt only ever handles the door it's fitted to. I'll be straight about that: gate hardware and garage access are separate products and separate problems, and I'd rather set your expectations correctly than have you assume the lock covers more than it does. What the lock does do well here is codes for the people who come to a property this size — gardeners, pool service, family — and setting those up properly is part of the job.
Before you book, from Poway
Be clear with yourself about what you want the lock to solve. In Poway the common request is really about property access — the gate, the side yard, the gardener, the pool service — and a smart deadbolt only ever handles the door it's fitted to. If codes for regular visitors are the point, that's exactly what these do well, and I'll set them up with you. If it's the gate you actually care about, tell me, because that's a different product and I'd rather say so now.

Lots here are large and often gated, and several roads in the north and east of the city are unsigned. Send an address plus a landmark or a gate code and I'll find it the first time.

Questions
Smart Lock in Poway
Everything on the main smart lock page applies here too — same price, same inclusions.
Will it fit my door?
Most standard doors, yes. Text me a photo of the current deadbolt from both sides and I'll confirm before you buy anything. Thick doors and unusual backsets are the two things that catch people out.
What if my door doesn't close properly now?
Then a smart lock will make it worse, not better. I can usually adjust the strike plate as part of the install. If the door itself has dropped or the frame has shifted, I'll tell you what's actually wrong.
Can you install one on a glass or sliding door?
No — those need a different kind of hardware. Standard deadbolt replacements on hinged doors are what I do here.

30–35 minutes each way. Adding a second job to one visit is the cheapest way to buy my time.
Smart lock installation in Poway
In Poway the door people most want on a code is often not the front one. With detached garages, side gates, workshops and long driveways, the useful lock is frequently the one on the way in from the car or the one on an outbuilding. Those doors are also the ones most likely to have unusual hardware or a bolt that has never worked properly. Tell me which door you actually use and send a photo of it rather than the front entry. Outbuilding and side doors are also more likely to be a non-standard thickness, so measure before ordering rather than after it arrives.

Same flat price as everywhere else I work. If the photo shows something that changes it, you'll know before I drive out.
