Home security installation in San Diego
Security work in San Diego is overwhelmingly about the two places a house is actually vulnerable: the front porch, where packages sit for six hours, and the back slider, which on most single-storey homes here is the least secure opening in the building. Doorbells, cameras and smart locks between them cover both for a fraction of what a monitored system costs, with no monthly agreement attached.
The county's geography changes the hardware. Anywhere within a couple of miles of the water — Ocean Beach, Point Loma, Pacific Beach, Cardiff, Imperial Beach — salt air eats mounting screws and cable ends, so coastal installs get stainless fixings and cable dressed to shed water. Inland, in El Cajon, Santee and Poway, the enemy is sun and heat on a west-facing wall instead. I place equipment for what it needs to survive as much as for what it needs to see.
