What's different about TV Mounting here
The Village, Fletcher Hills and the streets around Lake Murray are largely 1920s to 1950s. Lath and plaster is common, spacing is inconsistent, and I plan for both. The other quirk of houses this age is that they've usually been rewired at some point, which sometimes leaves an abandoned box or a run of conduit exactly where you want the bracket. Better to find that with a pilot hole than with a lag bolt.
Mount Helix is a different problem again: split levels and homes built into the slope, where the living room's best wall is often mostly window because the view is the point. That's a real design conversation and I'm happy to have it — sometimes the answer is a mount on the shorter wall with a slight swivel rather than the obvious one. Parking up there is tight and the driveways are steep, so let me know what I'm arriving to.
Before you book, from La Mesa
In La Mesa I'd ask for a photo of the wall and one of the room from the doorway. The room shot matters more here than elsewhere, because in the older Village houses and on the Mount Helix slope the obvious wall is often the one with a window, a radiator, or a chimney breast in it. Seeing the room lets me suggest an alternative before I'm standing there. If your home still has original plaster and you've never drilled that wall, mention it.
Getting to you
Mount Helix roads are narrow, steep, and switchbacked, with very little room to park near a driveway. If your driveway is steep, say so — I'll plan for it rather than blocking your neighbour.

Do you supply the mount?

What if my wall isn't drywall over studs?
Plaster and lath, brick, and concrete all take longer and need different anchors. Text me a photo of the wall and I'll tell you before I come out whether the price changes.
Can you hide the cords inside the wall?
I route and tuck cords along the wall and behind furniture as part of every mount. Running new cable inside a finished wall is a separate job — ask and I'll quote it.
Can you mount above a fireplace?
Usually yes. Height and heat matter, so send a photo of the fireplace and the space above it first and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a good idea for that particular setup.

La Mesa is a short drive, so it is one of the easier cities to get a same-week slot in, and often same-day if something opens up. The variable here is the hill. Split-level homes around Mount Helix mean the room the television is going in may be a flight up from where I can park, which matters for a large panel rather than a small one. A photo showing the approach from the street, not just the wall, is genuinely useful when you book.
