What's different about TV Mounting here
The Village, Windansea and much of Bird Rock are pre-drywall construction. Lath and plaster over irregular framing, sometimes with wire mesh that makes an electronic stud finder read solid right across the wall. Plaster also chips outward if you drive a screw into it cold, and the repair shows. I pre-drill every hole, work slower, and it's the same flat price — the extra care is priced in, not billed extra.
The Muirlands and Country Club run newer and larger, with more mid-century framing and a lot of vaulted and beamed ceilings. Those open rooms are where TV placement is genuinely a design question: the wall you want is often the one with the window on it. I'd rather walk it with you and set the height together than mount to the first flat surface. Coastal condo buildings near the Shores sometimes ask for paperwork from anyone working on site — check with your building before you book.
Before you book, from La Jolla
For La Jolla I'd rather have two photos than one: the wall straight on, and a close-up of any electrical outlet cover removed if you're comfortable doing that. The cut edge around an outlet box shows the wall build-up immediately — you can see whether it's half-inch drywall or three-quarter-inch plaster over lath. That saves guessing. Also worth mentioning if your home is in one of the older streets and has never had a TV mounted before; virgin plaster behaves differently from plaster that's already been patched.
Getting to you
Streets in Bird Rock and above the Village are narrow and steep with limited parking, and a few of the coastal condo buildings require a certificate of insurance from anyone working on site before they'll let you up. Ask your building what they need and I'll tell you honestly whether I can meet it.

Do you supply the mount?
No — you buy the mount that fits your TV and your wall, and I install it. That keeps the price flat and means you own a part you can take with you. If you're not sure which one to get, text me the TV model and I'll tell you what to look for.
What if my wall isn't drywall over studs?
Plaster and lath, brick, and concrete all take longer and need different anchors. Text me a photo of the wall and I'll tell you before I come out whether the price changes.
Can you hide the cords inside the wall?
I route and tuck cords along the wall and behind furniture as part of every mount. Running new cable inside a finished wall is a separate job — ask and I'll quote it.
Can you mount above a fireplace?
Usually yes. Height and heat matter, so send a photo of the fireplace and the space above it first and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a good idea for that particular setup.
