TV Mounting in Carlsbad

Carlsbad walls are mostly newer and mostly easy. The thing worth planning is the drive, not the drywall.

$129flat, everything included — same price in Carlsbad

Estimate

6 questions. Then a number.

Screen size, wall, wires. The price appears on the last screen — same figure in Carlsbad as everywhere else I go.

  • You get the number whether you leave your details or not. No email wall.
  • The mount itself adds nothing — you buy it, I fit it, and you keep a part you can take with you.
  • It's an estimate. A photo of the wall is what makes it firm.

Carlsbad specifics

What's different about TV Mounting here

La Costa, Bressi Ranch and Aviara are late-80s onward with conventional drywall and predictable framing. Many of these homes also have a structured wiring panel in a hall closet, which occasionally means there's already a conduit or an existing run near where you want the TV — worth checking before assuming cords have to sit on the surface.

Carlsbad Village and the streets west of the 5 are considerably older, with 1930s to 1950s cottages and rebuilds mixed together, so plaster shows up there. Carlsbad is a 40-minute drive for me, so I batch North County into single days. That means fewer available slots than you'd get in central San Diego, but a real arrival time when you get one — and if a neighbour wants something done the same day, that's the cheapest way for both of you to buy my time.

Before you book, from Carlsbad

Because Carlsbad is a batched North County day, booking here works best if you can give me two or three time options rather than one. And if you're in La Costa or Aviara, check the hall closet for a structured wiring panel before you buy anything — if there's already a conduit running to the wall you want, cord concealment gets much easier and much tidier than a surface channel. Send me a photo of that panel along with the wall and I'll tell you what it opens up.

Getting to you

Carlsbad HOAs are among the most specific in the county about exterior modifications, and a few require architectural review for anything visible from the street. Cameras under an eave are usually fine; a camera on a front wall sometimes isn't. Check first — it costs you nothing and saves a second trip.

What's included

  • Stud finding and marking, with the height confirmed with you before I drill
  • Bracket mounted into solid framing — never drywall anchors alone on a TV
  • TV hung, leveled, and tilt or swivel set the way you want it
  • Existing cables routed and tucked behind the set
  • Everything tested before I leave — picture on, sound working
  • Packaging broken down and hauled out

What I'll need from you

  • The TV and its mounting bracket, unopened is fine
  • Roughly where you want it — I'll help with exact height
  • Somewhere to plug in within reach, or say so ahead of time
How long it takes
About an hour for a standard drywall install.

Questions

TV Mounting in Carlsbad

Everything on the main tv mounting page applies here too — same price, same inclusions.

Do you supply the mount?

No — you buy the mount that fits your TV and your wall, and I install it. That keeps the price flat and means you own a part you can take with you. If you're not sure which one to get, text me the TV model and I'll tell you what to look for.

What if my wall isn't drywall over studs?

Plaster and lath, brick, and concrete all take longer and need different anchors. Text me a photo of the wall and I'll tell you before I come out whether the price changes.

Can you hide the cords inside the wall?

I route and tuck cords along the wall and behind furniture as part of every mount. Running new cable inside a finished wall is a separate job — ask and I'll quote it.

Can you mount above a fireplace?

Usually yes. Height and heat matter, so send a photo of the fireplace and the space above it first and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a good idea for that particular setup.

TV mounting in Carlsbad

Carlsbad sits far enough north that I batch work up here into a single day rather than driving up for one mount, which shapes how booking works. Two or three time options gets you a slot much faster than one fixed hour. It is also worth doing everything in one trip while I am there — a mount, cable concealment and a soundbar in one visit is a far better use of a North County day than three separate ones, and you only pay for the drive once.

Carlsbad? Send a photo and I'll confirm $129.

Same flat price as everywhere else I work. If the photo shows something that changes it, you'll know before I drive out.
